When is the best time to visit Corfu?
Corfu offers a different experience throughout the year.
For warm weather, swimming and long days by the sea, late May to September is generally the most suitable period. May, June and September are particularly appealing for guests who prefer warm weather and a quieter atmosphere than the peak weeks of July and August.
Spring brings green landscapes and flowering countryside, while Easter is one of the island's most distinctive cultural celebrations.
Autumn is well suited to walking, village life and exploring the island at a slower pace.
Winter is peaceful and exceptionally green, although rainfall is more frequent and some seasonal businesses may be closed.
What travel documents do I need to visit Corfu?
Entry requirements depend on your nationality and personal circumstances.
Citizens of the European Union may generally travel to Greece with a valid passport or national identity card. Visitors from outside the European Union require a valid passport and may also require a visa, depending on their nationality and the length and purpose of their stay.
As requirements may change, guests should consult the relevant official authorities before travelling.
